Ready for Comments – Final Reflection

Despite not presenting at the showcase, I have still received learning takeaways from the CPD II showcase. A group that stood out to me was the winning team that presented after the intermission. They utilised a simple but effective ACER framework – Accepting differences, Celebrate and socialise, Establish rapport, Reward and recognise. I believe that despite the good content of the framework, there were many other factors.

The presentation font size and type was good and legible, which shows that they were meticulous and got down to the most minute details. The video has appropriate music that matched the scenarios the team depicted, whether it was a situation of conflict or resolution. It ended on what would happen should the ACER framework not be implemented and I felt that it was good to show potential consequences should such interpersonal communication issues continue and not dealt with.

Furthermore, the team dressed very professionally for the presentation. The team had great voice projection, and I was able to hear them clearly even at the back of the lecture hall. Their tones were very convincing and persuasive which captured and got my full attention.

It was the overall performance that positioned them as the winning team. To me personally, it was very relatable and I believe that many others have come across such situations of conflict in school or at work as well. This provides a chance for me to try the ACER framework in the future as IWSP is coming up.

  1. Hi Ariel!

I’m glad you had a positive takeaway from the CPD II Showcase! I have learnt a lot through the showcase as well, and the ACER framework by Team Lucky Salt Baes did highlight to me the importance of team building.

I hope you will be able to use this framework in the future when you join the industry, be it for IWSP or for a full-time job, and I also hope that this CPD II module has been an enjoyable and fulfilling one for you! 🙂

All the best for your examinations!

Likewise, I had enjoyed the presentation made by Lucky Salt Bases, and the importance of team building resonated with me as it is definitely an issue we would face in the coming IWSP. I hope that we could both use this ACER model in our respective organizations, and I wish you the very best in all that you do.
